After the Christmas special, BBC has released the first teaser trailer for the fourteenth season of Doctor Who with the protagonist played by Ncuti Gatwa
After the triptych of special episodes that celebrated sixty years of the long-running TV series and the traditional Christmas special released on 25th December (all on Disney+), the BBC released the first teaser trailer of the fourteenth season di Doctor Who.
As announced for some time, already introduced in the third special of 2023 The Giggle and protagonist of The Church on Ruby Road, the new iteration of the Doctor – the Fifteenth, keeping faith with the various “canonical” regenerations seen since 1963 – will have the face of Dear friendan actor who rose to prominence for his role as Eric in Sex Education. Joining him will be Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday.

In the first teaser trailer the two protagonists are ready to venture on journeys in Space and Time, from the Victorian Age to the 1960s. Furthermore, on the long wave of the battle with the Toymaker (played by Neil Patrick Harris in The Giggle), the Fifteenth Doctor will probably have to face his army and, in any case, the consequences of the clash.
It can be noted, in particular, that BBC presented the trailer as Season 1, giving rise to rumors – increasingly true at this point – that they would like the upcoming series of episodes as a new beginning for the TV series, similar to what happened in 2005. All this could be linked to the retcon of the Timeless Child and the bi-generation of the Time Lord. We’ll see, it being understood that the new season of Doctor Who will arrive in the spring on the BBC and on Disney+ outside the UK. What do you think of this teaser trailer?
