Marty Stratton, executive producer of id Software, took advantage of the Twitter platform to announce the arrival, expected later this year, of DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods part 2, the second part of the expansion for Nintendo Switch.
According to what is reported in the document published on the social DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods Parte 2, the second part of the homonymous expansion of DOOM Eternal also available for Nintendo Switch, it will arrive on the platform by the end of the year. Stratton also took the opportunity to explain in detail some of the features of the second part and the new Update 6.

In addition to the clarifications regarding the replacement of the Invasion mode with a Horde fashion, on which you can find all the details at this link, the executive producer Marty Stratton also wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to announce the arrival of the new component – on Nintendo Switch consoles – by the end of 2021.
In addition to the current energies invested for the Horde id Software mode would be at work, according to the document, on a renewal of the BATTLEMODE multiplayer mode. The team’s desire would in fact be to make it much more organized, through a gameplay based on ranking, optimizations, balances and the addition of a new map.

At the moment, unfortunately, the team behind DOOM Eternal could not release further details regarding the second part of the expansion, as well as left the release date undefined, maintaining a generic “by the end of 2021”. The only certainty, according to the words of the executive producer, will concern the arrival of more information during the annual QuakeCon conference.
