The world Denis created is light years away from what I’m used to. It is so beautiful and different, and many times dark and strange. But it’s something I could never have imagined. I just don’t have that kind of mind. When I think about things, especially when I think about directing, very small stories come to mind, based on simple facts, very simple and stimulating stories. That someone could imagine and conceive such a large world, a galaxy, such an immense universe, is something that displaces me, something that my brain cannot calculate.
