Dying Light 2: Stay Human has been out for a few days now, and now we are having the first data to evaluate its reception on the market: it seems that the Techland title can boast an excellent debut, given that on Steam occupies the first three positions of the top ten and appears in the standings for the beauty of six times. A record result, even if there is a catch.
Dying Light 2: record assoluto su Steam
Given that it is still a truly exceptional result for the new chapter of Dying Light, how is it possible that the game occupies six out of ten positions on the Steam rankings? The reason is simpler than you imagine: Valve’s platform in fact considers each version of the game individually, both as regards the copies sold and the copies pre-ordered.
In practice, this means that Dying Light 2 is ranked with the sales of the version Standard, Deluxe e Ultimate, plus pre-orders of each of these versions, resulting in six different products that Valve’s platform considers as different video games. Precisely for this reason the game has come to occupy the beauty of six positions in the top ten of Steam, effectively beating the entire competition.
Here is the ranking in detail:
- Dying Light 2
- Dying Light 2
- Dying Light 2 Ultimate
- Lost Ark
- Dying Light 2
- Elden Ring
- Dying Light 2
- It Takes Two
- Dying Light 2 Deluxe
- Total War Warhammer 3
These results are not too surprising, after all this new chapter of the franchise has registered a peak of 266,000 active players during its first weekend since its launch, noting how much the community seems to have appreciated this new Techland product. These numbers could further increase as future updates arrive.
