Dyson Ceramic Pop to celebrate Japan

This color scheme in playful proportions was inspired by the color scheme ofDyson G-Force vacuum cleaner, the first machine produced by Dyson and sold in Japan in the 1980s. Unlike anything else on the market at the time and impressive in homes, the vacuum cleaner was the result of Dyson’s approach to developing colors for its machines which, even after 25 years, remains unchanged today.

Dyson Ceramic Pop: sensorial finish

Dyson products aim not only to work better, but also to give a better feeling during use. The materials and finishes, just like the machines themselves, are subjected to rigorous tests, such as rub and scratch resistance tests, to ensure they stand up to daily use and meet the expectations of those who choose them.

This range has a finish “ceramic effect”, the result of precisely applied layers of satin varnish. The final result, dry to the touch, was achieved through numerous experiments, designed to evoke the silky smooth finish of unglazed ceramic.

Celebrating 25 years of company in Japan

Dyson has a long and special relationship with Japan, thanks to a series of firsts. This is where James Dyson first sold cyclone technology under the name “G-Force” in the 1980s, winning the 1991 International Design Fair award in Japan.

The first Dyson Demo flagship store opened in 2015. Entry into the hair care category, with the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, also took place in Japan in 2016. With the opening of the Tokyo in 1998, Dyson celebrates its 25th year in the country in 2023 and marks the occasion with the launch of this color for the Hair Care category.
