From the stage of E3 2021, as already announced by some leaks, all the news on Shin Megami Tensei V, the new chapter of the Atlus series, arrive via Nintendo Direct
Here we are. Ubisoft is gone, Xbox and Bethesda have done their excellent job and Square Enix, as often happens, has left us very dumbfounded. In short, this E3 2021 is proceeding by leaps and bounds and we are now running out, with one of the most anticipated conferences this year: Nintendo Direct. During one of the last “mini” events held by the big N, Atlus had presented Shin Megami Tensei V, a title that fans of the series have been waiting for as children wait for Santa Claus. We then did not have any more details about it, except a few days ago through a scary leak from the official website that accidentally uploaded what probably should have been revealed tonight. And indeed it is so.
Shin Megami Tensei V will be released on November 12th as an exclusive Nintendo Switch and in simultaneous worldwide release. The protagonist is the classic Atlus title student who finds herself in an apocalyptic underworld, oppressed by the eternal struggle between angels and demons, and full of monsters to fight and… enlist among our ranks. We leave you here below the trailer of Shin Megami Tensei V shown during the Nintendo Direct which is airing right now.
Atlus invades the stage of E3 2021 with Shin Megami Tensei V
The game mechanics seem to have remained practically the same as in the series: turn-based combat, enemies to be recruited and used in the course of battles and a combat system based on exploiting enemy weaknesses. We could also see some new creatures, in addition to the iconic ones of the series, all with a really interesting graphic style, although always at the level of the Atlus titles. Nothing jaw-breaking, in short, but all very intriguing.
And that’s it for Shin Megami Tensei V from the E3 2021 stage. What do you think of the Atlus series? Are you a SMT or Persona enthusiast?
