On the occasion of the Women’s Football SummitEA Sports announced several key initiatives dedicated to the promotion of women’s football community and the growth of the game, both on and off the pitch. Let’s find out all the details together.
Women’s Football Summit, here are the initiatives
EA SPORTS unveiled the Starting XI Fundand accelerator fund for women’s football whose goal is to make the game grow in the future. To launch the fund, EA SPORTS has allocated a investment of 11 million dollarswhich will include investments in the game, the league, clubs and athletes to continue to grow the women’s game.
It was also announced that, starting in 2023, EA Sports will fund a internship program in women’s football with each new partner in the women’s league. This initiative wants inspire e empower young women from different backgrounds to engage in the world of football.
The multi-year partnership with the UEFA Women’s Champions League, which will allow both sides to offer a more incisive experience to women’s football fans around the world. Starting from the beginning of 2023, FIFA 23 will include the knockout stage of the UWCL. In fact, there will be clubs such as Juventus Women, Real Madrid Femenino, Chelsea Women, Manchester City Women, Olympique Lyonnais Féminin, Paris Saint-Germain Féminine and others.
Collaboration with DAZN
Also on the occasion of the Women’s Football Summit, EA SPORTS agreed on one multi-year sponsorship partnership with DAZN to become the Global Broadcast Partner of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The partnership will begin in March, coinciding with the launch of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in FIFA 23 and with the quarter-finals of the competition.
