Strange world – A mysterious world by Don Hall and Qui Nguyen will be available from February 16, published in DVD, Blu-ray formats and a Steelbook always in collector’s Blu-Ray format. An original feature film of action and adventure by Walt Disney Animation Studios, the film embarks on a journey into unexplored and treacherous lands, populated by fantastic creatures that will soon become the object of interest of the legendary Clades, a family of famous explorers who due to contrasts and divergences inside threatens to derail their latest – and by far most important – mission. A riot of emotions for young and old, which never loses sight of the ultimate goal: to make us feel less alone, together with our distortions, together with our doubts.

Also from February 16 it will be the turn of Black Panther: Wakanda forever directed and co-written by Ryan Coogler, available in DVD, Blu-Ray, 4K editions and two unmissable collectible Steelbooks always in 4K, full of extra content and an exclusive poster. Sequel to the acclaimed “Black Panther”, the film recorded in its debut weekend one of the highest grossing ever among the releases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: a work that affects emotionally, politically and culturally, while offering a loving tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje, fight to protect their nation from the meddling of world powers, following the death of King T’Challa. As the Wakandians struggle to move to the next phase, our heroes will have to join forces, counting on the help of War Dog Nakia and Everett Ross to give a new order to the kingdom of Wakanda. In addition to the debut of Tenoch Huerta in the role of Namor, king of a secret underwater nation.

Again from February 16 appointment again thanks to Eagle Pictures with a doppia uscita horror: in arrival and cult “REC” and “REC 2” by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza, two unmissable zombie movies shot in mockumentary style both published in Blu-Ray format in a collector’s edition with illustrated cover and a booklet full of curiosities. Both editions feature tons of minutes of extra content, including making of, deleted and extended scenes.

In the first film of the saga, the young reporter Angela and her cameraman follow a team of firefighters in Barcelona for one night to describe their work and include it in a TV programme: a routine outing will become hell. The sequel Rec 2 picks up and expands upon the ideas of the first film to chilling effect. At the center of the story is a task force made up of four soldiers and a self-styled doctor from the Ministry of Health who is sent to a building where mysterious disappearances have taken place, perhaps due to a lethal virus that has infected the tenants. The group, equipped with video equipment to document the entire operation, will try to understand what happened and track down any survivors.

Eagle Pictures: the month of February ends for art lovers

Out February 23rd The shadow of Caravaggio by Michele Placido, available in DVD and Blu-Ray formats. The film explores the intricate and adventurous existence of Michelangelo Merisi, aka Caravaggio (Riccardo Scamarcio), already a pop star at his time, here told in his profound contradictions and in the darkness of his impenetrable torment.

Rebellious and restless, devoted and scandalous, independent and transgressive, the Caravaggio that Placido stages is a cursed artist with absolute talent, but above all a rock star ante litteram, a rebel without a cause forced to face the disturbing implications of a reckless life – with his women and his demons – in which genius and recklessness coexist to give us a timeless character and a fascinating and universal icon. Alongside Scamarcio an international cast composed of Louis Garrel, Isabelle Huppert, Micaela Ramazzotti, Vinicio Marchioni and Alessandro Haber.
