The news comes from the @CanWeGetToast Twitter account, which reveals that there were initially six episodes of Echo.
Several sources have informed us that Echo will consist of 5 episodes lasting an hour each. Initially it was planned to publish six episodes, but one of these was eliminated due to pacing problems
The character of Maya Lopez, protagonist of Echo, has already appeared in the finale of Hawkeye, in which she created a cliffhanger with Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, who should return to the series as the main villain and thus pave the way for Daredevil: Born Again. Echo will talk about the story of Maya Lopez, who due to her behavior in New York, will have to face problems that will arise within her private life in her hometown, where she will have to discover the meaning of family and face the past of her, connecting to her Native American origins.
It seems that the series has even undergone reshoots, since according to the words of Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, the series was considered truly unwatchable, which is why the reshoots were heavy and significant. There is nothing left to do but wait and hope that Marvel Studios has managed to increase the quality of the series and tell us something interesting, even if the conditions are not the best.
