Miyazaki says he did not play the re-release of Demon’s Soul, but believes it still led to a lot of pressure on the Elden Ring graphics team. This in reality does not happen, however, only with respect to the new title coming out in February, but also with the rest of the games produced by the studio. Graphic fidelity is not prioritized over everything else, and what the developers ask of it is based on the systems and requirements imposed by the game anyway, thus becoming a less important part when compared to other elements of development. For the director, this is an area that often makes him feel quite “desolate” towards the graphics team, since he recognizes their great commitment. With Elden Ring, the graphics system team and programmers have added numerous new features and functionalities, resulting in one of the most beautiful games ever created.
