After 11 years the end of the Arrowverse has arrived, the sad announcement comes directly from The CW
It’s been 11 years since the first season of The CW aired Arrowthe TV series based on the DC comics character Green Arrow starring Stephen Amellthus beginning the great shared television universe Arrowverse, now come to an end. With the announcement of fourth and final season of Superman & Loisthe last series in the universe still on the air, the television universe comes to the end of the story it began Oliver Queen way back in 2012, disappearing in the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover. The fourth season of Superman & Lois will consist of 10 episodes and will air next year on The CW and the streaming platform MAX. The series is the latest chapter of the Arrowverse which, over the years, has continued to exist thanks to The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning e Batwoman.
The end of the Arrowverse: the creator lets off steam
The creator Marc Guggenheim he was very disappointed with his experience with DC. The television producer wrote a long post on his profile in which he expresses his dissatisfaction with the end of the Arrowverse.
Working with DC has been creatively rewarding, even if it has led to immense sacrifices, adversity and personal problems. These are things that on the professional side have brought me nowhere. I thought the Arrowverse would lead me to something bigger, but professionally speaking I feel like I wasted valuable time in my career. Even before Marvel brought the concept of the Multiverse to the cinema, we had already done it with Crisis on Infinite Earths. We had managed to connect past films to TV series, such as 1989’s Batman, Smallville, the 1960s Batman series, the first Flash series, Titans, Doom Patrol and so on. Not to mention Ezra Miller’s Flash met Grant Gustin. But he didn’t get me anywhere, I didn’t get any calls.
