Epson announces new cold inkjet printers together with Usain Bolt

The new “Just Relax” TV campaign sees Usain Bolt rushing to the rescue in three critical situations where ink has run out, providing the solution: EcoTank printers, of which Epson is presenting four new models. The campaign will see 6,000 broadcasts on Mediaset, Sky, Rai, Discovery and La7, with 15 and 20 second spots. Furthermore, there will be billboards in Milan, Rome and Naples.

Silvia Macchi, Marketing Manager of Epson Italy says: “With this TV and poster campaign we intend to further increase the awareness of the Epson brand and, in particular, that of the EcoTank line of printers towards an audience mainly made up of families with school-age children and those work from home, as well as by those who more generally need to print at home. To do this, we relied on the sympathy of a great champion, who comes to the aid of people who have run out of ink at the least opportune moment: printing homework before going to school, or travel documents before leaving on a nice trip, or of a sales report to be delivered to the boss. We are convinced that this campaign, with its freshness, lightness and a pinch of humour, it will allow us to increase the recognition and familiarity of our Epson EcoTank printers.”

The new EcoTank printers

The EcoTank line is enriched with three new multifunctional devices for A4 printing: EcoTank ET-4810 (print, copy, scan and fax), ET-2840 ed ET-2830 (both with print, copy, scan functions) – and a 6-colour A3+ photo printer: ET-18100useful for photography enthusiasts and for those who print many images.

Instead of cartridges, you can fill the refillable tanks with bottles to be disposed of in plastic once empty, with increased autonomy and low operating cost. All models are suitable for both homes and offices. They are also compatible with the app Epson Smart Panel to control everything with the smartphone app.

You can print up to 4,300 pages in black and 7,300 pages in colour (the equivalent of 72 ink cartridges) for the ET-4810, ET-2840 and ET-2830 models. Instead, up to 2,100 10x15cm images for the ET-18100.
