Ericsson and Nokia are preparing to gradually abandon the Russian market. This is, of course, a consequence of the war in Ukraine and the various sanctions that have hit Russia by the “Western” countries. Here are the latest updates on the issue:
Both Ericsson and Nokia have decided to leave the Russian market
The decision is official, Reuters reported today. In the course of the near future, in facti, Ericsson and Nokia will leave Russia. In particular, Ericsson aims to gradually reduce its activities over the next few months while Nokia is already planning to close most of its operations within the current year.
We recall that Ericsson had already suspended its activities in the country while Nokia had already confirmed in the past its willingness to abandon the market. In this regard, a spokesman for Nokia heard by Reuters stressed: “By the end of the year, the vast majority of our employees in Russia will have moved from Nokia and we have left all our offices. We will maintain a formal presence in the country until the legal closure is completed ”.
In these hours, too Dell confirmed the complete cessation of its activities on the Russian market. Other Western companies may follow suit of what these companies have done in the near future, pushing Russia more and more towards China.
