The most important eSports championship in Italy officially ended last weekend: the ESL Italia Championship presented by Euronics, which thus crowned the winners in the three respective games, namely Pokémon Unite, Apex Legends and Gran Turismo. The competition was managed throughout the country by ProGaming Italia (PGI), a leading company in the eSports events sector.
The competitions lasted 7 months, a period of time characterized by challenges between oltre 1.000 gamers participants for a total of 486,000 views on official channels. Not only the competitive aspect though, because this year the championship also had a green component thanks to theProGaming Italia E-Parkwhich planted 200 trees to compensate for the CO2 emissions emitted during all phases of the competition.
ESL Italia Championship: here are the winners
Here are the winners in the three competitive titles:
- Pokémon Unite – Tactipotates: the team won the 5i in the final by 3-0 which took place during the Milan Games Week 2022
- Apex Legends – Easy Win: this final also took place during the Milan Games Week 2022. The competition also confirmed that the Apex Legends community is one of the most deeply rooted fanbases in the Italian eSports scene.
- Grand Touring – Valerio “Williams_BRacer” Gallo: last Saturday 3 December, after having already conquered the GT World Series 2021, Valerio Gallo confirmed himself as the undisputed champion of the Sony title.
