Everything Everywhere All at Once: la trama
Everything Everywhere All at Once tells a universal story through all possible dimensions of time, space and being. A highly spectacular and at the same time profound film, which combines comedy, family drama, martial arts, romance, fingers made of frankfurters and a bagel that holds the secrets of the universe.
Starring Michelle Yeoh, extraordinary and chameleonic protagonist, Everything Everywhere All at Once also stars James Hong (the evil Lo Pan of Big Trouble in Chinatown), Stephanie Hsu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Ke Huy Quan – an icon of 1980s cinema in the role of the young inventor Data in The Goonies, as well as fellow adventurers of Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom – and Jamie Lee Curtis, in the role of ruthless tax office employee Deirdre Beaubeirdre.
Just the leading actress of the Halloween saga was the film’s biggest supporter, conducting a massive social campaign that contributed significantly to word of mouth and transformed it into an instant cult.
Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh) runs a small laundromat, has a teenage daughter who no longer understands, a dazed father and a fruitless marriage. A routine tax audit unexpectedly becomes the door through which Evelyn is drawn into an enthralling and colorful adventure in the most innovative and entertaining multiverse ever seen in cinemas. Called upon to save the fate of universes, she will have to draw on all of her courage to defeat a seemingly unstoppable enemy and restore harmony to her family.
