On the occasion of the release of Overwatch 2, the highly anticipated Blizzard Entertainment shooter out today (October 4), we took a leap into the new map set in Portugal: Hope. A perfect place to spend the holidays in relaxation but also to launch into frantic shootings. A warm and sunny climate, characterized by an artistic aesthetic, which offers an accurate representation of the Portuguese locality
Unlike the classic escort mode of the first chapter, the new game will introduce the new Push mode, which evolves the Overwatch game by causing players to have to defend and attack at the same time. In this sense Esperança seems to be best designed for this game mode.
Discovering Esperança: the new Overwatch 2 map
Esperança is located next to the sea, and is surrounded by mighty duroglass walls, which protect the inhabitants. The entire surrounding area is characterized by lush vegetation and steep mountains, which match well with the orange facades of the buildings in the city (especially at sunset).
From a gameplay point of view, the layout seems to be designed for the new mode Push (in which you will have to attack and defend at the same time) given the symmetry of the two sides of the map. One side is covered in red, and appears to be in constant construction, while the other is a glacial blue, with significant differences in terms of design. The gradual slope of the new map will favor the mobility of the heroes.
