Leone Film Group, Rai Cinema and 01 Distribution are pleased to present the Italian teaser trailer of Ferrari, the highly anticipated new film by four-times Academy Award nominee Michael Mann, which was presented yesterday in Competition at the 80th Venice International Film Festival Venice Ferrari. In the cast the Oscar candidate Adam Driver in the role of Enzo Ferrari and the Oscar Award Penelope Cruz in that of his wife Laura, in addition to Shailene Woodley who plays Lina Lardi, Patrick Dempsey e Jack O’Connell wearing the suits of the pilots Piero Taruffi and Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian e Gabriel Leone in that of the charismatic Fon De Portago. Written by Troy Kennedy Martin (The Italian Job) and by Mann himself, the film is based on the novel by Brock Yates “Enzo Ferrari: The Man and The Machine” and was filmed in Italy.

Ferrari is an epic, spectacular and passionate cinematic experience, set in the fascinating and risky world of motor racing of the fifties: the story of a legend who built an indestructible legend by becoming a global icon. Michael Mann – director and screenwriter of cult films such as Heat, The Last of the Mohicans, Collateral, Public Enemy, Miami Vice, Ali, Thief, with three Oscar nominations for Insider – Behind the truth (best picture, best director, best adapted screenplay) and one as producer of The Aviator (best picture), as well as two Emmy Awards (The Jericho Mile, Drug Wars: The Camarena Story) – he chose to film in Italy to restore the atmosphere and authenticity of extraordinarily intense and visionary characters who created the fusion of moving art and racing power that is Ferrari. Michael Mann is also producing the film through his Moto Pictures alongside PJ van Sandwijk, John Friedberg, Lars Sylvest, Thorsten Schumacher, Gareth West, Thomas Hayslip and Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi’s ILBE.
The crew also boasts names of excellence including the director of photography, the Oscar winner Erik Messerschmidt, the set designer Maria Djurkovic, twice nominated for the Academy Awards, the costume designer twice nominated for the Oscar Massimo Cantini Parrini, the hair & make-up up artist Aldo Signoretti, 4 nominations at the Academy Awards, the Oscar winner for sound Lee Horloff and the editor Pietro Scalia, winner of two Oscars. Produced by STX Entertainment, Ferrari is exclusive to Italy for the Leone Film Group in collaboration with Rai Cinema and will be released in theaters by 01 Distribution.
