Greeted by a long standing ovation at the 80th Venice International Film Festival, Ferrari, the highly anticipated new film by four-time Oscar nominee Michael Mann, arrives in Italian cinemas on 14 December 2023. Oscar nominee Adam Driver is Enzo Ferrari; alongside him the Oscar winner Penélope Cruz in the role of his wife Laura, Shailene Woodley in that of Lina Lardi, Patrick Dempsey and Jack O’Connell in the role of the pilots Piero Taruffi and Peter Collins respectively. Also in the cast are Sarah Gadon (Linda Christian) and Gabriel Leone, who plays the young and ambitious pilot Fon De Portago.

Written by Troy Kennedy Martin (The Italian Job) and Mann himself, the film is based on the novel by Brock Yates “Enzo Ferrari: The Man and The Machine” and was filmed in Italy, mainly in Modena. Ferrari is the story of a legend who built a timeless myth, becoming a global icon, but above all a true cinematic experience, engaging and spectacular, which tells the fascinating and ruthless world of car racing in the 1950s.
After being in competition in Venice and having shown itself with numerous trailers, Ferrari is therefore finally ready to land in Italian cinemas to the delight of all those who want to enjoy it from the opening to the closing credits. And we will definitely be among them!
Produced by STX Entertainment, Ferrari is an exclusive for Italy’s Leone Film Group in collaboration with Rai Cinema and the scheduled release date in cinemas is set for 14 December 2023 with 01 Distribution.
