Launched in Brazil in 1984, the Fiat Uno has become so popular in South America that it has been chosen by more than 4.3 million motorists during its 37-year history. The subcompact began its production in the city of Betim, a municipality within the Minas Gerais, e over the course of almost four decades it has been proposed in various models and design restylings.
The icon Uno, in 1984 marked the beginning of a new era for its particular characteristics, inaugurando the concept of “small outside, big inside”. In 1987, the Uno became the brand’s fastest model, with its R version reaching 100 km / h from standstill in just 12 seconds.
Then in 1990 it was the first car in Brazil to be equipped with a 1,000 cubic centimeter engine and four years later the Mille ELX was the first car “for the people” to offer air conditioning. In the same year, the Uno Turbo allowed users to have a car with great performance and efficiency.
The Nuova Uno presented in 2010 represented a revolution in terms of aesthetic concept, completing the classic square shapes. Uno Ecology stood out for having elements made with sugar cane, with photovoltaic cells capable of exploiting sunlight to generate electricity.

In 2013 it was presented the special series “Grazie Mille” and two years later the Uno Evolution he presented Start & Stop technology premiered in Brazil. The latest versions of the Fiat Uno left the Brazilian factory equipped with the modern engines of the Firefly family, in the 1.0 liter, three cylinder and 1.3 liter configurations.

Despite all the affection for the compact sedan, last week Fiat announced the end of production of the Uno in the country, also revealing the arrival of a special series called ‘Ciao’ is limited to just 250 pieces, being the farewell model of the historic car.
The limited edition, and only for the Brazilian market, arrives as a “collector’s item” for car enthusiasts by providing a unique badge that identifies the unit in question. The Fiat Uno Ciao presents changes in appearance and improvements over its predecessors, based on the “Attractive” 1.0 Flex variant.

According to Fiat, all units of the Ciao series will be painted in silverstore gray and will feature a two-tone roof with wing profile, flat black mirrors, blackened 14 ″ alloy wheels and a side panel customized with the phrase “the story of a legend” (the story of a legend, in Portuguese).
In addition to the exterior, the interior of the vehicle also has a dark color palette based on the black of the dashboard, seats and plastics of the car. This model has no options, but it comes from the factory with air conditioning, power steering, on-board computer, multimedia LCD panel, Bluetooth, USB connection, audio system, windows and electric locks. There is no shortage of split rear seats with folding backrests, also with Isofix hooks.

Like its basic version, Uno Ciao is also equipped with an ABS brake, double airbag and three-point belt, features that guarantee greater safety for passengers and driver. The price starts from 84.9 thousand real, (about 13 thousand euros) in the 1.0 Flex version.
