The FIFA Ultimate Team TOTY promo is one of the promos most popular and anticipated of the entire calendar. This promo rewards previous year’s best players with incredibly enhanced Ultimate Team Player Items. The TOTY promo was first introduced in FIFA 12, featuring the likes of Iker Casillas, Wayne Rooney, Andres Iniesta and of course Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Last year, FIFA 21 was the first game with community vote. This means that FIFA players again this year have decision-making power over who is included in the TOTY squad. EA in the past few days has confirmed the list of 80 TOTY candidates divided by role and today we want to show them to you.
How do nominations work?
As per tradition, when the Ultimate TOTY is released the players come gradually unfold by role in order of position, with forwards entering FUT 22 first, followed by midfielders and defenders (and goalkeepers). Along with the release of players, themed objectives and Squad Building Challenges are usually (and expected) released, included Flashback e Player Moment Player Items. According to forecasts, all FIFA 22 Ultimate TOTY XI players should be in packs by January 27, 2022. Once the voting has been concluded and the winning team has been chosen, the race for TOTYs will be officially open.
Goalkeepers and Defenders – FIFA 22: All TOTY nominees
