Good news for those who love the nine: not exactly with the cadence of when it rains, evidence of a remake of Final Fantasy IX seems to be arriving
It seems almost incredible that Rebirth (a great title, by the way) has already been out for almost a month, but while lovers of the seventh chapter turn their gaze to the final battle with Sephiroth, fans of Final Fantasy IX they seem to have found some clues towards a remake of the adventure of Gidan and his wild company. The producer and director of the fourteenth episode of the saga suggests the hypothesis, Naoki Oshida, which seems to have hinted that lovers of the first real return to the origins of the franchise will soon have something to celebrate. The good news comes from the recent PAX East trade show.

Naoki Oshida suggests a possible remake of Final Fantasy IX
In the part of PAX East dedicated to Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Oshida placed the emphasis on the objects dedicated to FF IX in the Collector's Edition of the Dawntrail expansion, without however openly talking about remakes. “You may have noticed many references to FF9 here… but the reason is a secret.”, these are the words of the game designer. It is not the first time that the beloved ninth chapter (admittedly Hironobu Sakaguchi's favorite) has shown up with targeted quotes. Last November, in fact, the mobile title Ever Crisis set up a full-blown crossover event. In the recent ones leakon the other hand, the development of a re-release of the tenth episode of the saga has emerged, so we will have to be patient.
