Five Nights At Freddy’s premieres in Italy and in America it has already beaten Super Mario Bros at the box office, the film is a blockbuster and has already reached a gross at the end of screenings
There were many of us waiting for this film adaptation based on the very famous video game saga Five Nights At Freddy’s, after many years the film has arrived, thanks to Blumhouse Productions. The film has already achieved frightening takings, on a global level it has already achieved well 130 million dollars of which 78 million in the United States alone. A good three days have passed since its release in America, and although Five Nights At Freddy’s will only premiere in Italy on October 31st, it has already reached the takings that one would expect at the end of the screenings. So it’s already a success, especially considering that the budget is alone 20 million dollars. He even surpassed Super Mario Bros, at least at the box office.

Considering the success that the video game saga has had and all the fans who have attached themselves to the franchise, perhaps the film’s success isn’t exactly a surprise. The saga made the entire world fall in love with animatronics thanks to the fascinating and mysterious lore, creating an original story and gameplay that undoubtedly revolutionized the horror genre. Even though the critics panned it, fans don’t care about the criticism, on the contrary, they have totally positive feedback on the film. Blumhouse founder Jason Blum celebrated with a post on X, writing:

Five Nights At Freddy’s tells the story of a night watchman who takes a job at a pizzeria called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. During his first shift he will realize that the job will not be as simple as he expected and that the place hides dark secrets. In the cast of the film we find Josh Hutcherson (Mike Schmidt), Matthew Lillard (William Afton), Elizabeth Lail (Vanessa), Kat Conner Sterling (Max), Piper Rubio (Abby) e Mary Stuart Masterson (Zia Jane).
