In the past few hours, Blumhouse Productions announced, in the person of its CEO Jason Blum, that the Five Nights at Freddy’s film will arrive in streaming and in theaters on October 27, 2023. Universal Pictures will handle distribution in theaters and on NBCUniversal’s streaming platform.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is coming: finally revealed the official release date!
The Five Nights at Freddy’s film had, in reality, a very troubled development. Announced in 2015, when Warner Bros acquired the rights to produce it, entrusting the direction to Gil Kenan. Warner Bros was then replaced by Blumhouse Productions in 2017 and Cawthon stated that the project would start from the beginning. In 2018 Chris Columbus was announced as director, but in 2021 Blum himself confirmed his exclusion from the project. Finally, in October 2022 Emma Tammi was made official as director.
