Football Manager 2022 review: more trading space
One of the first points we want to address during our review of the Football Manager 2022 is the buy. The market is one of the most interesting aspects that presents itself in the title and that allows you to create your own squad in the utmost expression. As we all know, however, desire is not the only mechanism that moves the system; unfortunately, money counts. Initial liquidity is not much and making room for one’s choices becomes very complex. For this reason, in this chapter, we have tried to create a solution that could be a good compromise between having nothing and having everything. There is this possibility of the last day of the market that gives an extra chance to get something good with a “special treatment”.
It is about quite a particular moment since, being at the end of the negotiations, even the clubs will be more willing to accept subsidy formulas. Whether it is loans or deferred payments, all of this will allow us to buy players necessary for our squad. Let us remember, however, that it is not a gift at all and that everything we have purchased will have to be paid for. There will be warnings, which sound more like “gentle threats” to remind us well what we face.
Even the details are taken care of
Another aspect that we liked the most during our Football Manager 2022 review is the attention to detail, even those not directly related to mere gameplay. In a management software, in fact, not everyone would be interested in seeing graphic leaps, yet the team of Sport Interactive worked also on this aspect. In particular, we have seen an improvement in animations during matches. Better gameplay, better moves, in short, a game that is enjoyable to watch. It is no longer a question of seeing the ball moving on a line, but we are approaching what could be a truly played match. Of course, we are not at the stadium, but we appreciate the significant leap compared to the previous chapters.
Surely it’s not a detail among the most important in a managerial title, but it is always a detail that is taken care of rather than left to chance. This is a sign of a desire for improvement, even on a game that is released every year. The team has not completely rested on its laurels, but has continued to develop and create and this is more than welcome.
The database in Football Manager 2022 certainly deserves a great mention. This collection of information, which may seem excessive, is a sign of the attention to detail that the title wants to convey. We have all possible statistics imaginable, like the number of passes, shots, slips. It is a lot of data, well structured and easy to interpret. Graphs that allow the comparison between our work and that of the opponents, in order to “adjust the aim”.
Football Manager 2022 review: we approve it
Net of all considerations made, we can only consider ourselves satisfied updates made thanks to Football Manager 2022. The title is certainly not a revolution and, in many respects, remains the same as the previous one. This is demonstrated by the conferences and other details which, unfortunately, have not undergone any major changes. Despite this, however, the title manages to come up with something new, proving to be valid and worthy. We have revisited animations and an exceptional database. The structure is excellent and consolidates more and more, as the others pass. There are practically no rivals, this is true, but it is equally true that the developers have not settled too much. A title that, despite everything, continues to have its large share in the managerial world.
