Apparently the rumors circulating recently were well founded. In the past few hours, with a tweet of the official profile of the game, the developers announce a postponement for Forspoken, and the new release date for the awaited new IP published by Square Enix. The title, which had returned to show itself recently, on the occasion of the TGA 2021, was expected for the month of May, but apparently we will have to wait a little longer before we can see it in action on our consoles.
Postponement and new release date for Forspoken
It’s official: Forspoken, the launch title of the Japanese software house Luminous Productions, will no longer be released in May. The postponement and the new release date were announced on Twitter with an official press release, which reads that the team has decided to take a few more months to better refine every aspect of the title, in order to package a gaming experience worthy of fan expectations.

The title will be heavily focused on the plot, and will tell the story of Frey Holland, on her journey to the lands of Athia, a fantastic and dangerous world. The new release date is now set for October 11, 2022, and we can’t wait to be able to experience this highly anticipated title firsthand.
