After a growing 2021, the first two months of 2022 gave another important signal: a continuity of growth for searches, but above all an increase in leads and availability in stock. This is what emerges from the data of Subito, a reference platform for selling and buying in Italy with 13 million unique monthly users, which analyzed the data of Subito Motori photographing the behavior of users with respect to used items.
“After a 2021 characterized by a sharp reduction in the supply of both new and used vehicles,
we are finally seeing signs of recovery also from this point of view ” Andrea said

by 11%, all in a fairly uniform way from a geographic, brand and segment point of view

These are the data collected by 753 million searches made in 2021 in the Auto category.

Among the most searched generic words of 2021 in the Car category, the passion of Italians for 4 × 4 all-wheel drive is confirmed in first place, which has always given great emotions, whether it is
sports cars chosen for passion or basic models where all-wheel drive is a necessity.
Second place was also confirmed for cars for novice drivers, capable of specifically meeting the requirements for those who are preparing to drive their first car. We find LPG in third place, still today the most widespread among the alternatives to fuel to reduce consumption costs.
VINTAGE CARS: the passion remains, the models change
Here is the ranking with a real excitement compared to the previous year. The passion for vintage cars never ends and true admirers, collectors or simple dreamers rely on Subito Motori as a reference point to find the best bargains or the model they have been looking for for a long time.
In 2021 there are, in fact, great changes in the top 10 where the FIAT 124 stands out gaining 3 positions, the beloved family sedan that from 1966 to 1974 was the car that accompanied Italian families during the economic boom. Scrolling through the ranking we find two other treasures of Italian automotive history: in second place the FIAT 500 (the historical model of course) followed in third place by the Alfetta, the sports sedan produced between 1972 and 1984, star of many crime films, which earns two positions undermining the Beetle that we find in fourth place. Continuing in the standings they recover one position compared to 2020 and are positioned in the top 10: Alfa Romeo Duetto in 5th, Fiat Topolino in 6th and Lancia Beta in 7th place. We are talking about Lancia Delta, Fiat Uno Turbo and Renault 5 GT Turbo which remain stable on the podium of the standings. Ranking unchanged also in the subsequent positions with the Alfa 75 and A112 Abarth always in 4th and 5th position respectively.
