We finally have some very juicy news about Angry, the highly anticipated prequel di Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). The feature film dedicated to the mythical character played by Charlize Theron in the latest film by George Miller will see a passing of the baton, as we already know. This time the Argentine actress will play the Empress Furiosa Anya Taylor-Joy, fresh from the incredible success of the Netflix miniseries The Chess Queen.

During the Press conference which saw the participation of George Miller and the actor Chris Hemsworth, there were two revelations: the date for the start of filming and the date for the release of Furiosa. Let’s find out together!

Furiosa: the start of filming and the release

As we discover below, thanks to two clips from the press conference reported on Twitter by an Australian director, we have both a start date and a release date for Furiosa. During the conference, director George Miller was accompanied by Chris Hemsworth, one of the new stars of the film along with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The young actor said he was honored for getting the chance to carry on the famous saga.

As you have seen, filming of Furiosa will begin in June in New South Wales, in Australia. This is the same location as the first two Mad Max films: Interceptor (1979) and Interceptor – The Road Warrior (1981). The Australian government, to ensure that the ambitious film was shot in the territory in order to bring revenues to the local economy, granted incentives amounting to 135 million US dollars. Furiosa then automatically becomes the most expensive film ever shot in those parts.

As for theExit of Furiosa, Australia was set for June 23, 2023.

Fury Road unfolded over three days and three nights. This is a saga that spans many years and so there are a lot of different elements.

These are the words of George Miller during the press conference, which only confirm our expectations for a film not to be missed. We look forward to learning more about the Italian release of the film. In the meantime, keep following us on this page so as not to miss all the news on cinema and TV series!
