Already in October, the first renderings of the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, had leaked on the net. The first images indicated that the new tablet would be characterized by the presence of the notch, just like the iPhone models. Many have criticized the choice, also because Samsung had always stood out precisely for its distrust of this rampant fashion. Well apparently the purists are destined to be disappointed, because yes: the new tablet, as reported by gizchina, will be equipped with the beloved-hated notch.
The first images come directly from the insider Evan Blass, renowned for the reliability of his news. For now, however, according to gizchina, the new design seems to affect only the Ultra version, which will be equipped with a 14.6-inch display.
The 12.4-inch S8 Plus version will instead feature an OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The camera compartment will instead consist of a double rear camera. The launch of the new Galaxy Tab S8 is scheduled for early 2022.
Pending the release of the new device, we can say that Samsung is currently in second position in the global tablet market. In three months, the brand has sold approx 7.2 million devices. In first place there is Apple, which dominates the market for 40.2% (data source: Canalys)
