As anticipated by presenter Geoff Keighley, during the Gamescom 2021 Opening Night Live we were able to see a brand new trailer for Far Cry 6, this time focusing on the story of Ubisoft’s open world shooter
The new Far Cry in development at Ubisoft studios is the sixth installment in a series that has managed to thrill many players over the years. Underlining the importance of this series is the participation of the actor Giancarlo Esposito as the main antagonist of this chapter. As he had already anticipated on his official Twitter profile Geoff Keighley, during the Gamescom 2021 Opening Night Live we were able to attend a new trailer for Far Cry 6, focusing in particular on the plot of the game. In the trailer we can see various scenes extracted from the Far Cry 6 story. Let’s see the antagonist Anton Castillo be interviewed with his son, an interview during which the methods with which Castillo created his empire are questioned. On the other hand, we see the protagonist who joins some rebels who try to fight him the slave empire of Castillo. All, of course, seasoned with a good dose of action scenes.
The game is set in Liberty, a region dominated by Castillo, which thanks to scientific research he managed to create Viviro, the most efficient cancer treatment in the world. As mentioned earlier, however, it seems that this empire is based on forced labor and slavery, which has led part of the local population to rebel.
Far Cry 6 is out on October 7, 2021 for all major platforms.
