The organizers of Gamescom 2022 have announced that this year’s event will be held in hybrid mode, both in person and online: starting on August 24th.
Gamescom 2022: from 24 to 28 August in Cologne
The pandemic has definitely not helped the festivals dedicated to the world of video games in recent years, with the last two editions of E3 and Gamescom held in digital mode. Good news then, because the organizers Cologne Fair e German Games Industry Association (GAME) confirmed that the Gamescom 2022 will be a hybrid event, which will be held both in person and online. The appointment is therefore for 24 august to Colognein Germany, where the fair will take place until 28.
The news was also confirmed by VGC, which reports the words Felix Falk, CEO of GAME: “This year we are combining the best of both worlds. In fact, we are organizing a digital program that will support the incomparable experience of a physical event. Furthermore, with the ‘Gamescom goes green’ initiative, we will make the fair a special and sustainable event, which aims to respect the environment “
