During the opening night of the Cologne event, the release date of Tekken 8 was revealed together with a new presentation trailer of the game and its modalities. Let’s find out all the details
Bandai Namco Europe has announced that TEKKEN 8the new chapter in the legendary fighting game series, will be available from January 26, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC onlyfinally revealed, therefore, the release date. Developed by Bandai Namco Studios Inc., TEKKEN 8 will harness the power of the current generation to make the game in the series with the most stunning graphics. The title also promises a new approach in the style of play, with a new aggressive combat system that rewards offensive tactics and ensures spectacular clashes. TEKKEN 8 is available to pre-order in Editions Standard, Deluxe e Ultimate.
The completely new mode was also unveiled Arcade Quest: A single-player mode that is meant as the ultimate training ground based on the roots of the franchise to introduce a new way to play and hone your skills. In this mode, players can create and customize their avatar and “visit” different arcades to participate in matches designed to improve their game and teach new techniques. As players progress through the story they will continue to develop and get stronger alongside their avatar and hone their skills against increasingly tougher opponents, in a story not too different from how some real gamers got into esports. Tekken 8: release date, modalities and various details
Continuing the regular cadence of TEKKEN 8 character introductions, the trailer announced the return of some new faces joining the roster of 32 characters, with Kuma, Leo, Shaheen, Steve, Dragunov and Yoshimitsu showing off their updated looks and moves. All TEKKEN 8 characters will have deep customization choices, including all-new options, with the ability to change the colors of each part, as well as the size and position of accessories, allowing players to really show off their style and bring a personal touch to their favorite characters.
TEKKEN 8 can be pre-ordered in Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate editions. The reservation of the Standard includes the game, once available, and secures the Paul Phoenix avatar set. PlayStation 5 players will also receive avatar skins for Mokujin and Tetsujin. The Deluxe includes Standard items and the Year 1 Playable Characters Pass which unlocks four characters, available after the game is released, and the Kinjin avatar skin. Also includes the Gold Suit Pack of costumes for all 32 playable characters. La Ultimate include all the content and bonuses of the Deluxe, along with Kazuya, Jin and Jun avatar skins and 32 classic TEKKEN t-shirts to give players the ability to customize their own avatars.
