Garmin International announced D2 Mach 1, the GPS smartwatch for professionals and aviation lovers with a classic design and a bright AMOLED touchscreen: suitable for any occasion, both in everyday life and in flight activities. With a battery that offers up to 11 days of autonomy, all flight lovers will always have updates on weather conditions, maps for navigation and much more.
Style and functionality
Garmin D2 Mach 1 is suitable for every situation of everyday life: from the cockpit to another, as it tends to create a perfect union between the robust and resistant structure and precious materials such as sapphire and titanium and a display.
A flight instrument directly on the wrist
Garmin D2 Mach 1 contains all the information necessary to assist pilots and aspiring riders in navigation and have the most important data under control, together with multi-band frequency and multi-GNSS support for more precise GPS positioning. The “Direct-to” navigation also allows pilots to navigate directly to an airport and the “Nearest” function activates a direct route to the nearest one.
Garmin D2 Mach 1 also offers weather reports to aeronauts, including METAR and TAF that allow pilots and enthusiasts to get information on winds, visibility and more before take-off.
D2 Mach 1 automatically starts tracking activity on take-off, then transfers date, duration, total flight time and route to the user’s flyGarmin.com log. Pilots can also easily send flight plans from the Garmin Pilot ™ application to the D2 Mach 1 and view the list of waypoints included in their route.
Functionality for health, wellness and sport
Not just in flight, as mentioned at the beginning. Garmin D2 Mach 1 offers the widest range of health monitoring features even when your feet remain firmly on the earth’s surface: wrist heart rate (with user configurable alerts), advanced sleep tracking, breathing activity, fitness age, Pulse Ox4, stress analysis, health, hydration and, for women, menstrual cycle monitoring.
D2 Mach 1 is equipped with over 30 built-in indoor sports and GPS applications including walking, running, cycling, pool swimming, hiking and more.
Always connected
To cheer up a long route or an intense workout session, you can download up to 2000 songs on your watch, as well as take advantage of playlists from apps and platforms such as Spotify, Amazon Music and Deezer5. This innovative smartwatch also allows you to make contactless payments through Garmin Pay 6 and receive more “classic” notifications like calls, messages, calendar reminders, social media updates, breaking news and more.
D2 Mach 1 is available with a titanium bracelet or an Oxford brown leather strap respectively a € 1,299.99 and € 1,199.99. Both models include a trial subscription to the Garmin Pilot app.
