Ghostbusters: Glacial Menace by Gil Kenan, sequel to Ghostbusters: Legacy by Jason Reitman will arrive in Italian cinemas from 11 April 2024 with Sony Pictures. In the next Ghostbusters movie, the Spengler family will return to where it all began. In fact, we will see the iconic New York fire station again where they will join the original Ghostbusters who have, in the meantime, developed a top-secret research laboratory to upgrade ghost hunting technology. But, once again, the discovery of an ancient artifact will unleash an evil force so old and new Ghostbusters will have to join forces to save the world from a new ice age.
Inspiration from Ghostbusters: Glacial Menace, let’s take a peek through the new trailer
Director Gil Kenan admitted that he had inspired by the animated TV series The Real Ghostbusters which had crazy, original and incredibly bizarre villains. The director then added that there was the will to bring the courage and ease typical of the series to the next film. The producer who is also the film’s co-writer, Jason Reitman, added that there were also other series of the period that inspired the last chapter of the Ghostbusters. In fact, she explained that they wanted the effect of a family in a station wagon, living in a dilapidated house, with teenagers rebelling against their parents. We wanted to achieve a The Tenenbaum style, that is, that of a family living on top of each other, but in the Ghostbusters barracks. In the next film the barracks will be seen much more than in any previous film. It will be possible to see what it is like to live there in the broadest sense of the term. We’ll be able to see what it’s like to sleep there, do laundry, what it’s like everyday life in the barracks, in short. The cast of the film consists of: Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson. They will be joined by Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, comedian James Acaster and Emily Alyn Lind.
