Rockstar Games’ crime novel previews the Game Awards: the highly anticipated announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6 finally has a date
We’ve even had a nice April Fool’s joke out of it in recent years, but… Rockstar Games has finally finished joking: the seemingly endless wait for a announcement real for Grand Theft Auto 6 comes to an end with a date for the reveal. And being, ahem, the vain videogame rockstar that they are, the development team decided on Twitter not to even spare us too many words. No rhetoric, no “Kept you waiting, huh?!” or a joke about the feverish anticipation on the part of lovers of one of the most “incorrect” sagas of all time. Just a stylized (not too much, hopefully) image of Florida palm groves, followed by “Trailer 1” and… well, you can see it for yourself below. Calendar in hand, of course.

December 5: The date for the official announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6
Well yes: next Tuesday, the December 5th, Grand Theft Auto VI will finally have a sharp look (emphasis on “sharp”). One face, one logo. However, perhaps it will also be appropriate to specify the time: nine in the morning on the east coast (an obligatory time, skirting Florida and the Atlantic) translates, for us, into three in the afternoon (or, if you prefer, 15:00). What can I say: bingo cards Game Awards they definitely need to be reprinted, because apparently the gaming red carpet will not host one of the most anticipated reveals of all time. If you don’t know how to kill time in the meantime, you can always blame the poor pedestrians of Liberty City: there is never a shortage of options to do it cheaply.
Now it’s up to you to tell us your opinion: would you have expected a similar advance on Geoff Keighley’s ceremony?
