Gundam Evolution: What You Need to Know
With an announcement today Bandai Namco confirmed that Gundam Evolution will arrive by 2022. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Sesies X | S and Xbox One as well as on PC. As far as we know, it will be a free-to-play shooter based on the hugely popular franchise of the same name. The developers also announced that the game will consist of a 6vs6 competitive multiplayer PvP game. In particular, three different game modes will be available: Point Capture, Domination and Destruction. In an introductory press release, Bandai Namco described it as “a unique set of challenges in which teams will have to plan and implement formidable attack and defense strategies to claim victory.”
The starting roster will consist of 12 playable units (also including the classic RX-78-2 GUNDAM and the iconic ASW-G-08 GUNDAM BARBATOS). Additional mobile suits and items will be unlockable using the in-game currency (Capital Points) and EVO coins (which can be purchased with real money). The first Closed Network Tests are scheduled for this April (7-12) for PC users only in the US and Japan. Those who read us from the States or from the land of the Rising Sun have time until 28 March to book here.
Finally, we report that players who purchase the Season pass will unlock additional cosmetic content (these include mobile suit skins, weapon skins and weapon charms).
