Three decades for a franchise that has spanned several generations: Warner Bros. Games e NetherRealm Studios pay homage to 30 years of Mortal Kombat with a video. A saga of fighting games that, with flying kicks and combos capable of destroying controllers of various platforms, has sold nearly 80 million copiesstarting from the launch of the first title, in‘October 1992.

A 30-year journey that also represents the evolution of consoles and technology, with a title also for mobile that he has collected over 150 million downloads. Obviously in the middle there is everything else: the live action of 1995, the remaster version of the original game in 2021 and the last chapter: Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate of 2020. Characters that have become iconic such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Jackson “Jax” Briggs, Baraka and Shang Tsung.
The video published by Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios – which you can find below – pays homage to all these elements of the thirty-year history of the franchise, showing us the evolution of the aforementioned fighters.
The celebrations also continue on Mortal Kombat Mobile, where it will be available until tomorrow (11 October) Klassic Movie Raiden. This is the character played by Christopher Lambert in the 1995 film. Finally, until October 14, players will be able to unlock exclusive daily rewards by simply logging into the game. These include elements from the three films dedicated to the saga, released in 1995, 2020 and 2021.
