Hawkeye Review: Episode 4 – We’re Partners, Aren’t We?

The fourth episode of Hawkeye, of which we propose the review, is the one in which the action is a little sacrificed, in favor of greater emotional depth of the characters, leaving at the end a great revelation regarding a new villain

What to say in this review of Hawkeye’s newly released episode other than that it was the episode we all expected.

It is certainly the one in which the action is sacrificed a little, being relegated only to the last minutes of the episode, but the psychology of the characters is deepened very well.

Kate e Clint they start to behave like a real team and both find the sense of family they feel missing in each other, Kate because she doesn’t feel comfortable in her home, while Clint because he is literally away from them.

Clint Barton and Kate Bishop seem to compensate for each other, and fill, more or less, the material and emotional gaps that the two characters have felt in their past, and are continuing to live in their minds. It’s funny how Kate continues to act and, more importantly, to present herself as Clint’s partner, while he continues to deny their cooperation, while in fact, they actually behave as a team and in this episode we see Clint playing the role of mentor to perfection, even if a lot is given by the girl’s spirit of initiative.

The sense of family | Hawkeye Review: Episode 4 – We’re Partners, Aren’t We?

This fourth episode of Hawkeye is certainly the one that brought out the emotions of the protagonists the most, and that pushed on the ropes of the drama.

Though there are no traumatic situations experienced directly by the characters, but this is precisely the most interesting thing: The fact of bringing out one’s most painful memories makes us see these superheroes, who are often represented on the screen as puppets without a soul, under a much more human and profound aspect.

Hawkeye Review: Episode 4 - We're Partners, Aren't We?

The focal point of the episode is precisely the sense of family that is emphasized both in the plot and in the various quotes, and in the salient and significant moments of the episode. Clint and Kate find themselves to the point of being each other’s family, at least in that particular moment, and therefore we need to help each other, support each other in healing certain wounds, or try to deal with them without getting hurt and hurting too much. The feeling and the sense of the deepest affections are the central elements of this episode.

The action is not lacking, although it is left only in the last few minutes of the episode giving us the revelation we all expected.

Shall we take stock?

There are only two episodes left for Hawkeye’s conclusion, and there are various rumors about the introduction of new characters from the Multiverse, for this there is this spasmodic wait for the series finale, which could open other important doors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It is no coincidence that the series finale is set for December 22, arriving a few days after the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which surely will introduce other characters from the Multiverse.

What do you think of it? Will all these characters really be introduced? It is clear that in the MCU world there is a need for new things to keep the shack going …
