The well-known British director Guy Ritchie will no longer be at the helm of Disney’s next live-action, Hercules. Based on the great 1997 classic, it currently seems on the list to be the next remake of the well-known animation house
The British director Guy Ritchie dice goodbye to directing of the next one live-action Disney; Hercules. News that makes fans fall into a vortex of disappointment, already anxious to see one of the best Disney classics on the big screen. Inspired by the great animated cult of 1997, it has conquered (and continues to conquer) entire generations thanks to its great narrative and contained musicality.
The news released in the last few hours by external sources has underlined the impossibility of the well-known British director Ritchie, probably due to the innumerable work commitments that have already been set for some time.
Ritchie known for his great skills in directing action films and dynamic adventures (such as Sherlock Holmes and Aladdin), had initially raised high expectations for the project live-action. His distinctive signature seemed to fit perfectly with the bold tone and sweeping action of the Greek demigod’s mythological story.

As mentioned above, the reason for theGuy Ritchie’s abandonment to Disney’s Hercules project, it could be in part linked to the director’s commitments made previouslyeven if for now his farewell appears to be shrouded in an aura of mystery.
This seems to inevitably raise the big question of who the directorial successor will be and what their imprint will be on the project. At the moment, the only official certainty is given by the names of Joe e Anthony Russo as producers.
The screenplay should instead bear the signature of Dave Callaham. No details regarding possible names for the film’s cast, although according to some unofficial rumors, Danny DeVito he would be the favorite to play the role of Philocteteslinked to him for having lent his voice 27 years ago.
