The five-year wait has only intensified the fervor surrounding the title, but now it's finally possible put the title on your wishlist exactly as is possible on the PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and even Steam stores. Coincidentally, the game made its last public appearance on the occasion of the jade giant's showcase in June 2022. Subsequently, Microsoft confirmed that the long-awaited sequel would be released before the same month in the following year. And, alas, we all know how that ended.

Last May, in fact, Matthew Griffin of Team Cherry announced that Hollow Knight Silksong would not be available for a while longer, and that development on all formats (including Xbox) would continue further. Whatever the release date, however, we know that the game will arrive on PS5, PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and, on the Microsoft console front, on all currently active models: One, Series the sequel also promises to reverse the process that converted metroidvanias into three-dimensional format, giving rise to soulslike; in other words, therefore, a 2D metroidvania with soulslike elements. And it's a combination that we particularly love in these parts.
