Honor V Purse arrives in China, the thinnest foldable in the world
At just 8.6mm thick when closed, this foldable smartphone is incredibly thin. When opened, it measures just 4.3 mm, thus setting a new world record. And it weighs just 214 grams, less than several “classic” smartphones on the market.
This is possible thanks to a new innovative hinge, equipped with thin 1.2 mm springs and miniature gears with a diameter of only 1.73 mm. This hinge also uses steel and Honor’s proprietary mechanism, for strength without forgetting lightness.
During the presentation, George Zhao, CEO of Honor, explains: “Today’s consumers are oriented towards leading a digital and fashionable lifestyle.
