Huawei officially announced in China P50 Pocket, his new smartphone foldable with clamshell design. The device has top-of-the-range features and a truly refined design. We had already seen the unique design of the smartphone a few days ago. Which incorporates the “clamshell” style seen in the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Motorola Razr, but with some special touches. Like it circular external screen, which recalls the profile of the area intended for cameras. Which is great for receiving notifications but also as a viewfinder for quality selfies.

The device weighs only 190 grams and is only 7.2mm thick, an excellent result given the size of the screen. In fact, once the shell with its decidedly very rich finishes is opened, the internal screen can be explained up to 6.9 in, with proportions from 21:9. The screen can take advantage of a 120Hz refresh rate.
Huawei has equipped its smartphone with a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G, which should snap up quickly Harmony OS 2. The battery is 4.000mAh.
Excellent photographic behavior, especially thanks to the main sensor from 40MP, accompanied by an ultrawide from 13MP and an optic from 32MP “super spectrum” which Huawei believes should capture a larger color spectrum. Inside there is a hole-punch camera for video calling but for selfies you can use the external one-inch screen. Also great for notifications.
The hinge that closes the smartphone leaves no space between the two parts. In addition, Huawei has made possible the Face Unlock both with the screen closed and open, with a fingerprint reader on the side. A leaflet that promises to be truly complete. The 8 + 256GB version, available in Black and White costs 8,988 yuan (1248 euro), while the 12 + 512GB one, in Gold and Silver, reaches 10,988 yuan (1525,90 euro).
