The Women’s World Car of the Year is awarded by a jury composed of 63 automotive journalists from 45 countries. It is the only entirely female jury in the automotive world.
The vehicles, divided into six categories, are evaluated for safety, driving, comfort, technology, design, efficiency, impact on the environment and value for money. The jury awarded the title to the Ford Ranger who was positively impressed by its great capabilities. He commented: “It’s a reliable, elegant and charismatic pickup. It moves with agility on any terrain. It is as efficient as an off-road vehicle, but even more practical, thanks to its load compartment”.
Liz Pelling, Head of Communications at Ford Pro Europe she expressed herself on the matter. “The new Ford Ranger is the toughest and most technologically advanced ever, packed with innovative design and engineering solutions, crafted by our teams around the world and sold in over 180 countries. We thank the Women’s World Car of the Year judging panel for this award, which recognizes the global appeal of the Ranger.”
The various car models
The gamma Ranger ranges from model XLversatile in all working conditions, al Raptor, a pickup with extreme performance. New on-board features and amenities include high-tech digital interior, convenient sliding load-restraint systems and new tailgate, which folds down into a workbench with vice holders and built-in measuring tape . The new generation is the result of over 5,000 interviews and dozens of workshops carried out with customers, a meticulous process thanks to which the evolution of the best-selling pickup truck in Europe was defined on the basis of real conditions of use.
The new Ranger is now competing for the overall title: the winner will be announced on the Women’s World Car of the Year YouTube channel at 12:00 CET onMarch 8, 2023International Women’s Day.
