A Twitch streamer discovered the giveaway but it wasn’t exactly appreciated worldwide. It would seem, in fact, that in the United Kingdom there is still a climate of mourning for the death of the monarch, who died now six months ago. Added to this is the fact that in the game, after jumping in puddles together with his Majesty, the player finds himself in front of a black screen of mourning. The video game, as well as the cartoon, is aimed at children and families. That’s why it doesn’t seem too out of place for the Peppa Pig character to shout: “Wow! Majesty of her is very good at jumping in puddles! ”. After all the character of the queen had already appeared in various episodes of the animated seriesa.
Elsewhere however, in the boundless world of the internet, memes and ironies of all sorts have begun. Some write: “Peppa was the last to see the queen alive”, while others assert: “Peppa is responsible for the queen’s death”. Some users claim that the idea of inserting such a mournful element is out of place for a children’s game. Finally, some, not without malice, note that in the memorial the queen jumps into a muddy puddle, which could symbolize the not exactly clear reign of Elizabeth II.

Wanting to see everything from a more genuine perspective, there is instead a tribute to a historical figure, whose mourning is still particularly felt today in the United Kingdom. After all, Outright Games, publisher of Peppa Pig: World Adventures, is a British studio.
