Instagram is working on a new feature that will allow you to share other people’s profiles in your Stories. This is a great way to recommend (or advertise) a certain account/page to your followers.
How to share profiles in your Instagram Stories
As you can see from the screenshot below, the platform is currently working on a new feature that allows you to view profiles directly from stories.
We can therefore expect a new button, similar to the one for resharing posts and Reels, but in the profile section of the accounts we follow. In fact, Instagram already allows you to share (and therefore suggest) a certain account to a friend, but this usually happens via DM (private messages). With the new feature we will be able to share the account directly in our Story, which will be shown as a brief summary of the chosen profile. As you can see from the screenshot above, History will show the tag, the profile photo, the bio and the last three posts (or in any case the three posts highlighted on the profile. By clicking on the story you will come redirected to the profile itselfas already happens for the resharing of posts and Reels.
The feature appears to be currently in the testing phase, and is not yet available to the public. We’ll see if Meta decides to officially implement it with the next app update.
