Intel will be “Official Worldwide AI Platform Partner” of Paris 2024 Olympicsand the company has announced that it plans to introduce innovative AI experiences based on hardware and software during the event. The goal is to offer a new level of engagement for fans, organizers, athletes and spectators via AI.

Major AI implementations include an immersive experience to discover a technology used for evaluate the potential of athletes. Artificial intelligence will also play a role in broadcasting the first Olympics completely in livestreaming in 8K. Furthermore, accessibility to selected facilities will increase Olympic and Paralympic.
Sarah Vickers, leader of Intel's Olympic and Paralympic Games Office, explains: “The Olympic and Paralympic Games are the greatest showcase where the best athletes in the world can push the boundaries of the possible and do the unthinkable. This summer, Intel will accelerate its mission to bring AI everywhere, showcasing the potential of technology and AI to create immersive, interactive experiences for millions of people around the world.”
In Paris, Intel will create an interactive AI-powered installation to take enthusiasts on a journey that will take them to step into the shoes of an Olympic athlete. Intel technology is also driving advancements in accessibility for the visually impaired throughout the Games. Paris 2024 will be the first Olympics to use Intel Xeon processors to showcase a low-latency, full 8K live streaming experience over the Internet. AI-powered automation will allow broadcasters to deliver personalized digital content to viewers faster than ever.
Intel has been collaborating with the Olympic Games since Beijing 2018 (it was the Winter Olympics), and then continued to work together with the organization at Tokyo 2020 with Intel Premium drones. The collaboration will continue from 26 July to 11 August 2024 for the Olympics and from August 28th to September 8th at the Paralympics.
