Apple continues development of the first iPad with an OLED display. The debut of the new tablet from the Cupertino house is still far away (according to rumors) but the first rumors about the project are multiplying. Here are the latest updates:
IPads with OLED displays will focus on “lightweight” design and “unmatched” image quality
Future iPads with OLED displays will use panels provided by Samsung Display and LG Display. In these weeks, Apple has completed the first prototypes of the tablets that will arrive no earlier than 2024, according to the latest rumors.
According to some rumors, the new iPads with OLED displays will focus on one “unmatched image quality“. The move to OLED panels should translate into another step forward in terms of image quality and color rendering. An extraordinary level of quality is therefore expected for the new models.
It should also be noted that the new iPads will also focus on a “lighter” design. The tablets, therefore, could be even thinner and even lighter, to offer extreme portability without sacrificing top-level performance.
OLED panels will not be available immediately for the whole range. This technology could be exclusive, at least initially, to the iPad Pro.
