The first devices with Bluetooth LE Audio will be available in late 2022. Announced in 2020 by Bluetooth SIG, the new standard was scheduled for 2021 but due to a series of delays it has all been postponed for a few months. Now the time is ripe to register the arrival of the Bluetooth LE Audio which will consume less and improve the quality of the audio by increasing the features available to users.
The first Bluetooth LE Audio devices will debut by the end of 2022
The first devices will arrive over the next few months Bluetooth LE Audio. The new standard will use the best codecs for audio transmission sbut making use of the Bluetooth L connectionAnd, more efficient, and not the one currently used, Bluetooth Classic, which consumes more. In this way, audio transmission via Bluetooth LE Audio will record significantly lower power consumption.
Note that the introduction of the new LC3 codec which aims to offer a further step forward in terms of efficiency and sound quality, also thanks to a system capable of scaling the audio quality more efficiently. Thanks to Bluetooth LE Audio, it will also be possible pair multiple devices to the same audio source using Auracast technology.
To take advantage of Bluetooth LE Audio you will need to use devices Bluetooth 5.2. LE Audio support, however, will have to be introduced by individual manufacturers. The appointment with this novelty is for the end of 2022. We will see what the guaranteed support will be.
