Apple is about to launch the new one iPhone SE 4, its mid-range smartphone that promises to offer high performance at an affordable price. But what can we expect from this device? Here you are everything we know until now.
iPhone SE 4: everything we know
The design of the new iPhone SE 4 will be very different from that of its predecessor, which was still inspired by the old iPhone 8. In fact, Apple has decided to adopt the style of the most recent iPhones, in particular the iPhone 15, from which it will inherit many elements . The first change concerns the display, which will be a OLED over 6 inches with flat edges and without the “notch”, the notch that housed the sensors for Face ID and the front camera. The latter will in fact be integrated into a Dynamic Island, a small circular area in the center of the upper part of the screen.
The second change concerns the unlocking system, which will move from Touch ID to Face ID, three-dimensional facial recognition that guarantees greater security and convenience. This also means that the Home button will disappear, leaving more space for the display. The side Action button, however, will remain, as will the porta USB-Cwhich will replace the Lightning connector and which will also be present on future iPhone 16s.
Camera
The rear camera will instead be composed of a single 48 megapixel sensor, placed in a small vertical pill-shaped island. This choice will allow us to contain production and sales costs, but also to reduce the weight of the device, which will be around 165 grams, seven grams less than the iPhone 14.
The quality of photos and videos, however, should not be compromised, thanks to pixel binning technology which combines four pixels into one for brighter, more detailed images. Under the sensor there will also be the microphone and the LED flash.
Availability
iPhone SE 4 will therefore be a very interesting smartphone, capable of offering a modern design and advanced features at a lower price than the Cupertino company’s other flagship models. We still don’t know when it will be officially presented, but according to some rumors it could arrive by the end of 2024.
