Taiwanese retailer Rakuten just added Alan Wake Remaster to its online archive, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. The leak indicates October 5 as the official launch date of this remastered version of the historic Remedy title. If this leak turns out to be correct, an official announcement could be upon us.
Alan Wake Remaster: release date revealed?
Alan Wake Remaster may be upon us. This was revealed by the Taiwanese retailer Rakuten, on whose official website the remastered title of Remedy presumably coming for the October 5th. According to what we read on the website we can learn that this remaster should arrive on both PS4 and PS5 while for Microsoft consoles a generic Xbox is reported, and it will probably arrive on both One and X | S.
The Game Industry Analyst Daniel Ahmad | meanwhile, he confirmed this information leak, stating that the official announcement of Alan Wake Remastered would be scheduled for next week. Given these assumptions, it is very likely that the game will be revealed to the next PlayStation Showcase, to be held on Thursday 9 September.
It is not possible to gather much other information from the official Rakuten site on Alan Wake Remastered, but the original game had two additional DLC content called The Signal and The Writer. There was also a spin-off called Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. It is plausible to imagine that a remastered version of the game could include all three of these extras in one package.
On the other hand, the idea of a remaster of this historical Remedy game has been in the air for quite some time and the protagonist, Alan Wake, has even appeared briefly in a DLC by Control, the latest game from the software house.
