IT-Alert, new tests in Tuscany: testing continues
The testing of the alert service, developed by Civil protectiontherefore continues this year too, after the conclusion of the first testing phase in all the Regions and Autonomous Provinces of Italy on 13 October 2023.

Il January 22, 2024we saw the test of a nuclear accident in Turin, in Piedmont. Today, 23 January 2024, the test focuses on the municipalities of Prato and Campi Bisenzio (FI), simulating a major accident in the industrial plant TOSCOCHIMICA.
The experimentation will take place around 2.30 pm, with an alarm message being sent to all people present in the affected area. Even those who are just passing through the area will receive the message.
As MondoMobileWeb points out, the message will read: “TEST TEST This is a IT-alert TEST MESSAGE. We are SIMULATING an industrial accident in the area you are in. To find out what message you will receive in the event of real danger from an industrial accident, go to www.it-alert.gov.it TEST TEST”.
The experimentation will continue in the next few days, involving territories from different regions. In particular, simulations of industrial accidents will be held on January 24, 2024 Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, and Sardinia. January 25, 2024 will be the turn of Basilicata, Friuli Venezia Giuliawith simulations of industrial accidents, and collapses of large dams in Campania and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. On 26 January 2024, the experimentation will end with the simulation of a major accident in an industrial plant in Abruzzo and collapses of large dams in Sicily and Valle D’Aosta.
Remember: this is a test and there is no need to panic. But it is worth preparing for possible future emergencies.
